Michele Hughes, Spa Manager and Esthetician
Michele Hughes began her career in skincare over 15 years ago. She is a licensed esthetician and is the manager at Spa 170 West at Meridian Plastic Surgeons.
She enjoys getting to know her clients on a personal level and has a passion for helping people feel and look their best by educating them about healthy skincare. Over the years Michele has helped clients gain relief from a variety of difficult skin conditions such as pre-mature aging, cystic acne, eczema, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. She also works very closely with the physicians at Meridian Plastic Surgeons to ensure proper skincare before, during and after cosmetic surgeries.
Michele performs various skincare and laser treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, laser hair removal, IPL Photo Therapy, anti-aging resurfacing treatments, skin tightening with radio-frequency and is certified in micropigmentation (permanent makeup). She continues her education by attending several advanced classes and seminars and keeps up with the latest in the ever-changing world of technology and skincare.
Michele has also played an intricate role in the development of the physician-directed skincare line Med Elements. Her goal was to use both science and nature to help develop a safe and effective skincare line to assist her clients in achieving and maintaining healthy skin.
Maria Ferguson, Esthetician
Inspired by the dynamic growth and ever-changing technological developments in the esthetics industry – not to mention her own quest for great skin – Maria Ferguson left her career in advertising to pursue esthetics.
She has proudly been with Spa 170 West at Meridian Plastic Surgeons for almost 12 years and continues her commitment to educate and provide the highest quality of care to her clients. Maria holds advanced certifications in skin rejuvenating peels and ultrasound/radio frequency tightening treatments. She has also completed advanced laser training to expertly provide services improving wrinkles, sun damage, skin redness, acne scarring, unwanted hair and more.
Most recently, Maria has collaborated on publishing two medical white papers and has worked as a clinical trainer sharing methodologies with other medical practices. She continues to expand her knowledge of esthetics by keeping up with new research, seminars, and trainings. Maria also holds a B.S. in Business Administration.
Pam Keating, Esthetician
Instead of pursuing her MBA just prior to retiring after more than 27 years in an exciting business career, Pam decided to pursue something she would truly love for her next career path. Her nurturing spirit and desire to help others to keep their skin and bodies as healthy as possible led her to the esthetics and massage therapy fields in 2004. She has been with Meridian Plastic Surgeons since 2008.
Pam truly enjoys the pure team environment shared by the physicians and co-workers at Spa 170 West. She feels very fortunate to be working among some of the most highly regarded professionals in their fields. Under the leadership of Meridian Plastic Surgeons physicians Stephen Perkins, MD and Bruce Van Natta, MD, Pam appreciates the continued learning and advanced training environment provided and the fact that the latest, cutting-edge resources are always made available to Spa 170 West patients.
From shaping beautiful brows, giving wonderful, relaxing facials and rejuvenating skin peels, to performing laser and radio frequency skin tightening and the latest micro-needling procedures, Pam’s goal is to ensure patients have the healthiest skin possible.
She loves and uses the skincare products available at Spa 170 West and believes they enable patients’ skin to be the absolute best it can be.
